What is a 'Console Session' in Windows 7 solution

HELPROOM ANSWER In recent versions of Windows, logging into the administrator account isn't enough to grant you administrator-level privileges when performing system operations. This is to protect you from accidentally performing dangerous operations, and also to prevent malware from masquerading as you and making system changes.
To perform such tasks, you must elevate your session to administrator level. The 'console session' referred to here is simply a command prompt with administrator privileges enabled. Click the Start button, type cmd in the Search field, right-click cmd.exe in the results and then choose'Run as Administrator'. You should now be able to run the SFC utility.
